Accelerated Reader
St. Francis Catholic School students begin reading and taking quizzes over Accelerated Reader books as soon as their Kindergarten or First Grade teacher believes they are ready. The specific goals vary from grade to grade, but the all-school goals are:
For students to develop a love of reading
For students to read and develop an appreciation for a variety of literature: fiction and nonfiction
For students to further develop their vocabulary and comprehension skills
