Tuition Rates
2023-2024
Tuition Rates have been established for the 2023-2024 School year. Total cost per pupil is $9,714. Thanks to gifts from donors and a generous church subsidy, your cost is as listed below.
New this year is the Students First Act which provides families with Education Savings Accounts (ESA's). Qualifying families will be charged a new tuition amount of $4544.00 Catholic rate and $5555.00 Non-Catholic rate. Families who do not qualify for ESA's will be charged the amount below in the chart which represents the tuition rate for 2022-2023. In the 2025-2026 school year, all families will qualify for ESA's.

Third Child, Non-Parish | $3,089 (9 monthly payments of $343.22) plus $125.00 registration fee |
Non-Parish rates are for anyone not a member of St. Henry or St. Mary Catholic Churches in Marshalltown. Tuition Assistance is available through Our Faith, Our Children, Our Future, School Tuition Organization (STO) and locally through the St. Francis Catholic School Board of Education. Applications are available at the school offices or online at Our Faith STO.
Each family is required to perform 20 stewardship hours. Each hour has been rated at $20.00. For any stewardship hour that is not completed, you will be charged $20.00 per hour. Stewardship hours include any activities that assist the growth of our youth from St. Francis Catholic School or the parish. Parish activities included are Vacation Bible School, sacramental preparation, Children’s Liturgy of the Word and teaching Faith Formation classes.
Please make arrangements with the school office if you have any outstanding tuition or stewardship hours from the previous year.
Tuition payment methods are the following:
Automatic Electronic Fund Transfer on the 5th or 20th of each month, September – May
Annual full payment due August 11
Semester payment due September 5 and January 5
Quarterly payment due September 5, November 5, January 5, and April 5
Monthly payment due September 5 – May 5
1 If you make your full annual payment by August 1st (including annual child care contract), you will receive $30 off your first child’s tuition. We ask that you still sign up for FACTS to take advantage of lunch and incidental options.
