Notification of School Closings/Delay
St. Francis Catholic School follows the Marshalltown Community School District regarding school closings due to inclement weather. Do not call the church, rectory or school. Local television and radio stations (on the air and/or on their websites) will provide the official announcements. Decisions for the Marshalltown District apply to all Catholic schools. We may not specifically be named. If weather becomes severe during the day necessitating early dismissal, that announcement will also be made by the television and radio stations (on the air and/or on their web sites).
Transportation – Emergency Closings
Parents are strongly encouraged to be aware of the possibility of an early dismissal and make arrangements to provide transportation for their children promptly at the time of early dismissal.
Child Care During School Closing/Delay
The school offers child care for students on days that school is delayed or canceled due to inclement weather. Contact Ashley Hazen for more information regarding Child Care.
Wellness Policy
The student has been fever-free for at least 24 hours without using fever-reducing medication (such as Tylenol or ibuprofen).
Vomiting or diarrhea has stopped for at least 24 hours.
